MARK – One of The EDGE's first clients. Mark was told by the administration at Encina High School that his academic potential was geared toward attending a community college. By providing Mark with the right Life Coaching and a game plan to overcome obstacles and achieve his dream of attending a four-year university, Mark received an athletic scholarship to play Division 1 basketball - and made the Dean's list. Mark then turned to The EDGE for guidance to achieve his next goal - admission to Medical School. Today, Mark is a successful Dentist living in Seattle, Washington.

ELYSSA – Elyssa was one of The EDGE's fiercest competitors and "over- achievers" who grew into an amazing collegiate candidate by pursuing her passions in Creative Writing, Theatre and Communications. Elyssa's unique dilemma ended up being choosing between academic scholarship opportunities to Syracuse University and several other top national colleges! Elyssa found her "match" to be Carnegie Mellon University, where she is currently earning her degree.

JULIANA - As a senior at Everett's Tennis Academy, Juliana turned to The EDGE for assistance in balancing her athletic aspirations and academic goals. The EDGE worked with Juliana to find the "right fit" college that combined her dual aspirations, and within two months, The EDGE found several Division 1 schools that met both her academic and athletic dreams. Juliana has just completed her freshman year at the University of Maryland as the #6 seeded singles player - while maintaining a 3.4 grade point average.

JOHN - John and his parents thought his chances of attending a quality four year college or university were impossible. John had some learning difficulties, and despite working diligently at his academics, the results of his efforts ranged from C's to B's at best. The EDGE promoted John's perseverance and developed a great "Brand" statement about his unique qualifications and commitment to making a difference in his high school community, and potentially in his college community. John was accepted to multiple outstanding small schools that had the "right fit" program to meet his needs, where he could be academically supported and have the opportunity to contribute to his college community.
